Frequently asked questions
Is insurance included?
Yes: Mandatory insurance (third-party liability) is included from $0/day. It only covers damage to third parties; damage to the rented vehicle is at your expense, unless you upgrade with the Intermediate plan (US$15/day) or Full (US$30/day).
What is the deductible?
It is the amount you cover in case of damage, and it decreases depending on the plan: Basic US$10,000, Intermediate US$2,500 and Full US$1,000. With the Intermediate plan, minor damage up to US$100 is covered separately and does not go through the deductible. Choose the plan according to the level of financial responsibility you want to assume.
What does the insurance not cover?
None of the three plans covers robo del vehículo, robo de accesorios, cristales. These exclusions also apply to Full: it is the broadest protection we offer, but it is not total coverage.
Can I drive with a foreign license?
Yes. We accept valid foreign driver's licenses under the same conditions of price, reservation advance, security deposit and coverage as a Dominican license. Check the rental requirements.
What does each plan cover exactly?
The Basic plan covers third-party liability (Mandatory insurance). The Intermediate plan (US$15/day) adds minor damage: up to US$100 covered, with no deductible, apart from the general deductible. The Full plan (US$30/day) covers damage to the vehicle. In all plans, the deductible is the amount payable by the client before coverage applies.
