Who we are
Minyety Rent Car SRL (RNC 133-087073) is a vehicle rental company based minutes from Las Américas International Airport (SDQ), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Our website is minyetyrentcar.com. You can contact us via WhatsApp, by phone (the number shown on the site's Call button) or by email minyetirentcar@gmail.com.
What data we collect and why
Booking details. When you request a quote or book a vehicle —through the site's booking engine, via WhatsApp or by phone— we collect the data needed to manage your rental: name, phone number, email address, pickup and return dates and locations, chosen vehicle or category, and the receipt details required by law for invoicing (such as national ID or passport). We use them to manage your booking, coordinate your delivery and comply with Dominican tax obligations. The possible additional use of your phone number for advertising measurement, with your consent, is explained in the enhanced conversions section.
Communication via WhatsApp and phone. If you message us on WhatsApp, the conversation stays in our WhatsApp Business account so we can follow up on your request. WhatsApp belongs to Meta and is also governed by its own privacy policy. If you call us, we process your number to call you back and manage what was discussed. Any additional use for enhanced conversions will be subject to what is stated in the corresponding section.
References to link visits and WhatsApp inquiries
When you visit our website from a Google ad, we may receive an advertising identifier called GCLID, GBRAID or WBRAID. To link that visit with a later inquiry, we generate a short reference, such as "MY-ABC123", and link it to that identifier on our servers.
When you tap a WhatsApp button on our website, this reference may be included in the pre-filled message. If you send the message with the reference, we can recognize which visit originated the inquiry and check whether our ads help generate conversations or bookings. The reference does not by itself contain your name or phone number, although we may link it to the conversation you have with us.
Measurement with Google Ads, Google Analytics 4 and offline conversions
We use Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 to understand how our website is used and to measure whether our ads generate inquiries and bookings. This measurement may include the source of the visit, the pages viewed and actions such as tapping the WhatsApp, call or booking buttons.
We also import into Google Ads information about real conversations that continue off the website, for example, on WhatsApp. We may extend this measurement to confirmed bookings or completed rentals. To do so, we may share with Google the corresponding advertising identifier, an event reference, its date and time and, where applicable, its amount and currency. We do not send the full content of your conversations to make these imports.
Google receives this data to provide advertising measurement services on our behalf. The results allow us to evaluate and improve our campaigns, respecting the applicable consent choices.
Possible use of your phone number for enhanced conversions
If we enable Google Ads enhanced conversions, we may use the phone number you provided directly when inquiring or booking, with your consent for this use. Its purpose will be to check whether an interaction with our ads ended in an inquiry or a booking.
Before sending it to Google, we will transform the phone number using SHA-256, a procedure that converts it into a string of characters called a "hash". Google will be able to compare that string with information it already has to find matches and measure conversions. This procedure avoids sending the phone number in its original format, but it does not make the data anonymous.
Informing you of this possible use does not mean it is already enabled, nor does it replace your consent. Declining it will not prevent you from requesting information, receiving a quote or renting a vehicle.
Cookies and your consent choices
Our notice includes the "Accept" and "Only the necessary ones" buttons. You can keep using the website if you decline optional measurement, and we save your choice for future visits. Google measurement uses region-based consent values: denied for the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and granted elsewhere unless a different saved choice exists.
First-party attribution currently works differently: it allows persistent storage as long as there is no explicit rejection. "Only the necessary ones" blocks new persistent writes of our reference; the code deletes the previously saved reference when it checks that choice again. It does not automatically delete records already saved on our servers, nor does it stop the separate session-storage and server-logging processes. Therefore, the presence of the notice does not guarantee that all attribution processes wait until you press "Accept".
Using your phone number for enhanced conversions will require that you have received clear information about that purpose and that your consent includes it. We will not consider that sending a WhatsApp message or making a booking by itself authorizes that advertising use.
You can request the withdrawal of your consent for future uses, or access, correction or deletion of your data, by writing to minyetirentcar@gmail.com. You can also delete the cookies and storage from our website in your browser; this does not automatically delete records that already exist on our servers. We will keep only the data we must retain due to legal obligations or to handle your request and manage the service.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. It is only shared with the providers that make the service possible: our web hosting provider, Google (measurement described above), Meta/WhatsApp (if you contact us that way) and the Dominican tax authorities when the law requires it (tax receipts).
Attribution retention periods
Our attribution cookie is configured to expire after 90 days. A copy of the reference is also stored in browser local storage. The current implementation does not automatically check that copy's age, so we cannot state that all browser copies are deleted after 90 days. You can remove them through your browser settings. The full advertising identifier may also remain temporarily in browser session storage.
Our code schedules a daily cleanup of attribution links more than 180 days after they were recorded. This is the configured period; actual deletion depends on that cleanup running correctly. These periods apply to our attribution records; data sent to Google is handled according to its service settings and retention policies.
Booking documents, contracts, invoices and communications needed to provide the service have their own retention periods, described in the other sections of this policy.
Retention of bookings and communications
Booking and invoicing records are retained for the periods required by applicable Dominican tax and commercial rules. Our stated retention period for WhatsApp conversations and quote contact details that do not result in a booking is 12 months for follow-up, followed by deletion. Google measurement data is subject to the retention settings of those services.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access the data we have about you, correct it or request its deletion (except data the law requires us to keep, such as invoices). Write to us at minyetirentcar@gmail.com or via WhatsApp and we handle it. Dominican Law 172-13 on personal data protection covers these rights.
Security
We protect the site and the data with an encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access to the accounts where your data lives, and established service providers. No system is infallible, but we limit the data we request to what is needed for the purposes described in this policy.
Minors
Our services are intended for adults holding a valid driving licence. We do not knowingly collect children's information.
Changes to this policy
We will publish updates on this page with the corresponding revision date.
