Who we are
Minyety Rent Car SRL (tax registration number 133-087073) provides vehicle rentals near Las Américas International Airport (SDQ), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Our website is minyetyrentcar.com. Contact us through the WhatsApp or phone buttons on our website, or at minyetirentcar@gmail.com.
Information we collect and why
When you request a quote or book through our website, WhatsApp or telephone, we collect information needed to arrange your rental: name, telephone number, email address, pickup and return dates and locations, vehicle or category, and information legally required for contracts and invoicing. We use it to manage your booking, arrange delivery and meet our legal obligations. Any future use of your telephone number for enhanced advertising measurement is described below and requires your consent.
WhatsApp conversations remain in our WhatsApp Business account so we can follow up on your request. WhatsApp is provided by Meta and is also subject to its privacy policy. We use your telephone number to return calls and handle your inquiry.
Connecting website visits with WhatsApp inquiries
When you visit our website from a Google advertisement, we may receive an advertising identifier called GCLID, GBRAID or WBRAID. We generate a short reference, such as MY-ABC123, and link it to that identifier on our servers.
When you click a WhatsApp button on our website, the reference may be included in the prepared message. If you send the message with that reference, we can connect your inquiry with the corresponding visit and measure whether our advertising generates inquiries or bookings. The reference does not itself contain your name or telephone number, but we can connect it with your conversation.
Google Ads, Google Analytics 4 and offline conversions
We use Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 to understand website usage and measure advertising results. Information may include visit source, pages viewed and actions such as clicking WhatsApp, telephone or booking buttons.
We also import information about genuine conversations that continue outside our website, including on WhatsApp, into Google Ads. We may extend this measurement to confirmed bookings or completed rentals. Information shared with Google may include the advertising identifier, an event reference, date and time and, where applicable, value and currency. We do not upload full conversation transcripts for these imports.
Google receives this information to provide advertising measurement services on our behalf. We use the results to evaluate and improve our campaigns, subject to applicable consent choices.
Possible future use of telephone numbers for enhanced conversions
If we enable Google Ads enhanced conversions, we may use a telephone number you provide directly when requesting information or booking, with your consent for this purpose, to measure whether an advertising interaction led to an inquiry or rental.
Before sending the number to Google, we will transform it using SHA-256 hashing. Google can compare the resulting character string with information it already holds to find matches and measure conversions. Hashing avoids sending the number in its original format, but does not make it anonymous.
This notice does not mean that this feature is already enabled and does not replace your consent. Refusing this use will not prevent you from requesting information, obtaining a quote or renting a vehicle.
Cookies and consent choices
Our notice provides “Aceptar” (Accept) and “Solo las necesarias” (Necessary only) buttons. The website remains available if you reject optional measurement. We store your choice for future visits. Google measurement uses regional consent defaults: denied for the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and granted elsewhere unless you have recorded a different choice.
Our own attribution storage currently works differently: persistent storage is allowed unless an explicit rejection has been recorded. Choosing “Necessary only” blocks future persistent writes of our attribution reference; the code removes the previously stored reference when it next checks that choice. This does not automatically remove attribution records already on our servers or stop the separate session-storage and server-registration processes. The presence of the notice should therefore not be understood as a guarantee that every attribution process waits for acceptance.
Using your telephone number for enhanced conversions will require clear information about that purpose and consent covering it. Sending a WhatsApp message or making a booking does not by itself authorize this advertising use.
You can request withdrawal of consent for future uses or access, correction or deletion of your information at minyetirentcar@gmail.com. You can also delete our site's cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so does not automatically delete server records.
Who receives information
We do not sell or rent your information. We share information as needed with our hosting provider, Google for the measurement described above, Meta/WhatsApp when you contact us there, and Dominican authorities where legally required. Google processes information under the terms and privacy policies applicable to its services.
Attribution retention periods
Our attribution cookie is configured to expire after 90 days. A copy of the reference is also stored in browser local storage. The current implementation does not automatically check that copy's age, so we cannot state that all browser copies are deleted after 90 days. You can remove them through your browser settings. The full advertising identifier may also remain temporarily in browser session storage.
Our server code schedules daily cleanup of attribution links more than 180 days old. This describes the configured retention rule; actual deletion depends on successful execution of that cleanup. Information already sent to Google is subject to its own service settings and retention policies.
Bookings and communications
Booking and invoicing records are retained for the periods required by applicable Dominican tax and commercial rules. Our stated retention period for WhatsApp conversations and quote contact details that do not result in a booking is 12 months for follow-up, followed by deletion. Google measurement data is subject to the retention settings of those services.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your information, except where retention is legally required, such as for invoices. Contact minyetirentcar@gmail.com or our WhatsApp account. Dominican Law 172-13 addresses personal data protection rights.
Security
We use HTTPS, restricted account access and established service providers to protect information. No system is infallible. We limit the information requested to what is needed for the purposes described in this policy.
Children
Our services are intended for adults holding a valid driving licence. We do not knowingly collect children's information.
Changes to this policy
We will publish updates on this page with the corresponding revision date.
